Item 1.  Description of Registrant’s Securities to be Registered.

 

The securities to be registered hereby are the transferable subscription rights to purchase shares of Series C Liberty Braves Common Stock (the “Series C Liberty Braves Rights”) of Liberty Media Corporation (the “Registrant”), each of which entitle the holder thereof to purchase shares of Series C Liberty Braves Common Stock, $0.01 par value, of the Registrant. The Registrant has applied to list the Series C Liberty Braves Rights on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol “BATRR.”

 

Reference is made to the Registrant’s Registration Statement on Form S-3 (File No. 333-211428), which was filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) on May 18, 2016 and deemed automatically effective upon filing, including the prospectus contained therein (the “S-3”).
